Day 4 - Electrical work begins

Today the Electrician came at about 7am and he and I went though the layout and made sure we had everything planned out.  The we worked on taking out all the old electrical which means lights are now gone and power is off to the kitchen as well as the new office.  I also took the gas out from the old wall and have it prepared for its new location after the floors are re-done.  See pictures below for a few more details.

qty 4 Old 6" lights gone, installed qty 8 new 4" lights.
New HVAC vent in the floor under the window and next to where the double oven is going.  As you can see I made some dust along the way :)
New Electrical box as well and a few holes (25 of them) that went about 10" to get to the outside.  This 8" hole is for the new Ventahood going in above the cooktop. The electric box is for the Ventahood as well as for lighting that is going in the upper cabinets.  I used a hammer drill to drill each hole at about 5 min per hole. (the writing on the wall was already there)

8" hole chiseled out .... man are my arms tired!  Yes I used a masonry chisel to knock out the cement block.  It did not take as long as the drilling, but was much more work.
