Day 7 - Electrical done, for now.

Today started out with a call at 6:15 AM to tell me the cabinets were almost here, so I quickly started to clean and clear out a spot for them to go in the front of the house (more photos below.) After that the day was spent helping the electrician finish, doing some plumbing, getting ready to do more plumbing (more holes in the walls) cleaning up and gearing up for dry wall tomorrow by making sure edges are straight and square, putting up insulation and vapor barrier, oh and a trip to the Home Depot.  I also had a small POD dropped off behind my house today in case I need more space to put stuff while the floors are being done.

A view of all the boxes at 7am.  There were 81 pieces that came on the trunk today.

view of all the boxes from the front door.

Electrical wiring done, above there is a whip for the under counter lighting.
the box on the top middle has the new circuit pulled to it as well and the new 220 for the oven.

If you look back a few days you will notice that the  white pipes (drain and vent) no longer "Y," instead they are now completely separate so we can run them over to the new sink location on the south wall.

New can light above the desk area.

Look familiar?  No it is not the same picture as the demo day, but the insulation and vapor barrier (plastic) is back up and the walls and ceilings are ready to be dry walled!!!  Does the window look a little different as well?  Now you can see how the framing works that I did on Day 2.

  1. Big prep day. Can't believe how much you have accomplished in a week. A pod storage unit is a great idea - I'm sure the space will come in handy as your space shuffling puzzle comes together. Can't wait to see the drywall go up - huge.
