Day 6 - "220 ... 221 what ever it takes"

Today the 2 full bagster bags were picked up and I took some video of huge bags over the guys head with some tears in them, hoping they would not break.  All was good and he came during the break in the rain. The north wall electrical piping was complete and we ran a new 3/4 pipe from my electrical box in my bedroom to the kitchen for the 240 circuit and a new additional circuit.  Once done there will be 8 circuits in the kitchen.  Electrician will complete the wire pull tomorrow and be done until next week when the cabinets are in and then return for the final day of work.

New 3/4 pipe coming up from the floor.  This new home run back to the electrical box goes downstairs and through the ceiling of the lower floor and then through the ceiling of my neighbors storage unit and then up again to the box.  About 40 feet or 3/4 pipe used.

North wall electrical piping complete.

Boxes installed for pendant stile lighting above the breakfast bar.
Had some people look at granite today, but not the right size, so time to put it in the garbage.  To do that I broke it up with a hammer and carried a little bit at a time (not light).

Before Sat. everything needs to be ready for the floor guys so that means pulling up carpet and what seems like hundreds of staples that need to be pulled out.

All the speakers wired, cat5e and cable TV.  Also I put a 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe in the wall (the white hole in the middle) so that HDMI cable can be run to TV in the wall.  Still need to finish the patch jobs and prime and paint, but this part is getting close to being done!

  1. Are you going with hardwoods on the stairs?

  2. the idea for the short term is to leave the hardwoods on the stairs. although the carpet is nice, it gets so dirty so fast.
